AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 608 OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE,
AMENDING SECTION 9-205.1 OF THE SALINA CODE, AND R_E.PEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 9-205.1 of the Salina Code is hereby enacted
to read as follows:
"Section 9-205.1. Amendment of Section 608(c) of the Uniform
Plumbing Code
That Section 608(c) of the Uniform Plumbing Code as adopted
by the City of Salina, Kansas, is hereby amended to read as
follows:
'(c) No commercial dishwashing machine shall be directly
connected to a drainage system or food waste disposer without
the use of an approved dishwasher air -gap fitting on the
discharge side of the dishwashing machine. Listed airgaps
shall be installed with the flood level (FL) marking at or
above the flood level of the sink or drainboard, whichever is
higher'."
Section 2. That the existing Section 9-205.1 of the Salina Code is
hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
