AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, IN
CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described land, to -wit:
Part of the East 34 acres of the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4)
of Section Twenty-nine (29), Township Fourteen (14) South,
Range Two (2) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, in
Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the Northeast Corner of said Northwest
Quarter (NW1/4); thence West along the North line
of Section Twenty-nine (29) on an assumed bearing
of south eighty-nine degrees, fifty-five minutes,
forty-five seconds west (S89°55'45"W) a distance
of five hundred sixty-one and sixty-eight hundredths
feet (561.68'); thence south zero degrees, one minute,
two seconds west (SO°01'02"W) a distance of one thousand
eight hundred ninety-six and twelve hundredths feet
(1896.12'); thence north seventy-nine degrees, twenty-
nine minutes, zero seconds east (N79°29'00"E) a distance
of five hundred seventy-one and thirty hundredths feet
(571.30') to a point on the East line of said Northwest
Quarter (NW1/4); thence north zero degrees, one minute,
two seconds east (NO°01'02"E) along the East line of
said Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) a distance of one thousand
seven hundred ninety-two and fifty-four hundredths feet
(1792.54') back to the point of beginning;
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That all the property described in Section 1 hereof shall
be classed as lying in District "A-1", AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
