AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, IN
CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described land, to -wit:
A tract of land in Section Two (2), Township Fourteen (14) South,
Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, being more
particularly described as follows:
1. Beginning at a point two hundred ninety feet (290.0') north of
the southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter (SE/4 NE/4) of Section Two (2), Township Fourteen (14)
South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian,
Saline County, Kansas;
2. Thence east parallel with the south line of said Northeast Quarter
(NE/4) of Section Two (2) a distance of one hundred feet (100.0');
3. Thence north zero degrees twelve minutes east (NOO°12'E) a
distance of one hundred seventy feet (170.0');
4. Thence north eighty-three degrees seven minutes east (N83°07'E) a
distance of eighty-six and fifty-eight hundredths feet (86.58');
5. Thence north eighty-seven degrees fifty minutes east (N87050'E) a
distance of two hundred sixty-four and nineteen hundredths feet
(264.19');
6. Thence south twenty-one degrees fifty-two minutes east (S21052'E)
a distance of thirty-nine and ninety-two hundredths feet (39.92');
7. Thence east parallel with the south line of said Northeast Quarter
(NE/4) of Section Two (2) a distance of thirty feet (30.0');
8. Thence north twenty-one degrees fifty-two minutes east (N21052'E)
a distance of thirty-nine and ninety-two hundredths feet (39.92');
9. Thence east parallel with the south line of said Northeast Quarter
(NE/4) of Section Two (2) to the center line of the original
channel of Dry Creek;
10. Thence northerly and westerly westerly following said Dry Creek
channel to its intersection with the north line of the South half
of the Northeast Quarter (S/2 NE/4) of said Section Two (2);
11. Thence west to the northwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of
the Northeast Quarter (SE/4 NE/4) of said Section Two (2);
12. Thence south to the point of beginning.
Containing 16 acres, more or less
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
