AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LAND TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS, IN
CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
1. Beginning at the southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of the
Southeast Quarter (NW/4 SE/4) of said Section Nineteen (19);
2. Thence east on the south line of the Northwest Quarter of the
Southeast Quarter (NW/4 SE/4) of said Section Nineteen (19), a
distance of seven hundred thirty-seven feet (737');
3. Thence northwesterly to a point six hundred feet (600') south and
five hundred seventy feet (570') east of the northwest corner of
the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of said Section Nineteen (19);
4. Thence northerly to a point two hundred feet (200') south and
three hundred sixty feet (360') east of the northwest corner of
the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of said Section Nineteen (19);
5. Thence east sixty-seven feet (67');
6. Thence northwesterly to a point on the north line of the Southeast
Quarter (SE/4) of said Section Nineteen (19) that is two hundred
forty-nine and eight tenths feet (249.8') east of the northwest
corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of said Section 'Iineteen
(19);
7. Thence west to the northwest corner of the Southeast Quarter
(SE/4) of said Section Nineteen (19);
8. Thence south to the point of beginning.
Containing 16.6 acres, more or less
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A.
12-519 to 12-526, inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of
Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That all the property described in Section 1 hereof shall
be classed as lying in District "A-1", AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
