80-8816 Refuse ContainersORDINANCE NUMBER 80-8816 (Published in The Salina Journal &—Jebel 3 1 1980) AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE STORAGE OF REFUSE AND REFUSE CONTAINERS ON THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY AND PROVIDING EXCEPTIONS THERETO; ENACTING SECTIONS 31-24 AND 31-25 OF THE SALINA CODE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Section 31-24 of the Salina Code is hereby enacted to read as follows: "Section 31-24. Unlawful to store refuse or refuse containers upon public right-of-way. It shall be unlawful to store refuse or refuse containers upon the public right-of-way; provided however, this shall not prohibit the temporary storage thereon for collection purposes." Section 2. That Section 31-25 of the Salina Code is hereby enacted to read as follows: "Section 31-25. Temporary storage defined. For the purposes of this Chapter, temporary storage shall mean the placing of refuse containers on the public right-of-way for collection purposes, which will allow the placing of refuse containers on the public right-of-way the evening prior to the day designated for collection; provided said containers are removed the evening of the day of collection."
