80-8815 Alley Traffic1 1 ORDINANCE NUMBER 80-8815 (Published in The Salina Journal 1980) I AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING TRUCK TRAFFIC ON UNIMPROVED ALLEYS WITHIN THE CITY, ENACTING SECTION 22-123 OF THE SALINA CODE. Kansas: BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Section 1. That Section 22-123 of the Salina Code shall be enacted to read as follows: "Section 22-123. Prohibiting truck traffic on unimproved alleys within the city. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive or operate a truck rated larger than 11,000 GVW on any unimproved alley within the city. For the purpose of this Section, an unimproved alley is one which has not been surfaced with concrete or asphalt according to city specifications. This Section shall not apply to: (a) Utility trucks used in the performance of installing or maintaining utility equipment; (b) Trucks used in tree removal or maintenance; (c) Trucks which are regularly stored on a premises having access from the adjacent alley; (d) Trucks used in the delivery of merchandise or equipment." Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper. (SEAL) ATTEST: D. L.
