80-8789 Investment Idle FundsORDINANCE NUMBER 80-8789 (Published in The Salina Journal 1979) AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THE PROCEDURE FOR THE INVESTMENT OF IDLE FUNDS OF THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS; AMENDING SECTION 2-188 OF THE SALINA CODE AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION. BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That Section 2-188 of the Salina Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2-188. Procedure and restrictions. The City Manager and Director of Finance shall adopt a program for the investment of idle moneys of the city not currently needed and shall invest the same in accordance with Section 2-187. The investment program shall so limit the amount invested and schedule the maturities of investment so that the city will at all times have sufficient money available to assure prompt payment of all city obligations." Section 2. That the existing Section 2-188 of the Salina Code be and the same is hereby repealed. Section 3 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
