We started off by reading the apple themed book, “Ten Apples on Top.” Then the kids took a trip to the apple orchard to pick apples and buy apple snacks. This apple dramatic play set-up is the perfect way to learn through play and encourage the development of early literacy skills, math, and fine motor skills. –Heather Mettlen, Youth Program Coordinator September 29th we hosted a Murder Mystery Night for one of the Girl Scout troops here in Salina. They had so much fun looking for clues, playing along and working on their problem solving skills. Some of them even dressed up for the Roaring '20s theme! We love hosting programs and making connections with our community. –Adriana Alvarez, Youth Program Coordinator Cottonwood Elementary School - USD 305 Lerin Krallman, Community Coordinator and I went to Cottonwood Elementary School’s Family University.
