It’s apple picking time so I decided to bring that fun, fall
experience into my Preschool Play program by changing
the Prescott Room into a dramatic play Apple Orchard!
We started off by reading the apple themed book, “Ten
Apples on Top.” Then the kids took a trip to the apple
orchard to pick apples and buy apple snacks. This apple
dramatic play set-up is the perfect way to learn through
play and encourage the development of early literacy
skills, math, and fine motor skills.

September 29th we hosted a Murder Mystery Night for one of the Girl Scout
troops here in Salina. They had so much fun looking for clues, playing along and
working on their problem solving skills. Some of them even dressed up for the
Roaring '20s theme! We love hosting programs and making connections with
our community.

“Thank you so much for supporting my classroom library. It felt
like Christmas today when I received the books. I appreciate the
support to continue to get high interest books in the hands of
my 7th grade students. Here is a picture of me with some of the
books. Again, thank you so much!”
