04-6123 PH S Marymount ImpRESOLUTION NUMBER 04-6123 A RESOLUTION DIRECTING AND ORDERING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADVISABILITY OF STREET, SIDEWALK AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS OF SOUTH MARYMOUNT ROAD, BETWEEN CEDAR RIDGE DRIVE AND RIVERRUN PARKWAY. BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That a public hearing shall be held by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas on the advisability of the following improvements: The curbing, guttering, paving, grading, sidewalk construction and drainage improvements of South Marymount Road from Cedar Ridge Drive to RiverRun Parkway The public hearing will he held on the 25th day of October 2004, at the City -County Building, 300 W. Ash, Room 107, at 4:00 p.m., as provided in K.S.A. 12-6a01 Section 2. The City Clerk shall publish the following notice of such public hearing in the official city newspaper. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas will meet for the purpose of holding a public hearing, as provided in K.S.A. 12-6a01 et seq., in Room 107 of the City -County Building, 300 W. Ash, at 4:00 p.m., Monday, October 25, 2004, to consider the advisability of the following proposed improvement, to -wit: (a) General Nature of Improvement: The curb, guttering, paving, grading, sidewalk construction and drainage of South Marymount Road from Cedar Ridge Drive to RiverRun Parkway. (b) Proposed Benefit District: Lots 17 - 19, Block 1, Lots 1 - 8, Block 2 and Lots 10- 12, Block 3, Cedar Ridge Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. (c) Estimated or Probable Cost: $282,760.50 (d) Method of Assessment: The method of assessment shall be equally per equivalent residential unit within the benefit district. (e) Apportionment of Costs: 100% of the total cost of the street and drainage improvements, including grading, pavement, curbs and gutters, storm inlets and incidentals thereto to complete the residential street and drainage system shall be assessed against the improvement district. 2. The City shall pay 100% of the total cost of the sidewalk improvements along Marymount Road The hearing may be adjourned from time -to -time and until the Governing Body shall have made findings by Resolution as to the advisability of the improvement, the nature of the improvement, the estimated cost, the boundaries of the improvement district, the method of assessment and the apportionment of costs between the improvement district and the city -at -large, all as finally determined by the Governing Body. All persons desiring to be heard with reference to the proposed improvement shall be heard at this hearing. f►11 Section 3.
