ORDINANCE NUMBER 04-10232
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TRACT
OF LAND, IN SALINE COUNTY, KANSAS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
K.S.A. 12-519 TO 12-526, INCLUSIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina., Kansas:
Section 1. That the following described tract of land, to -wit:
A parcel of land located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 1, Township 15 South, Range
3 West of the 6th Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, more; particularly described
as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast Corner, Section 1, T 15 S, R 3 W; thence North 00° 00' 22"
East, a distance of 35.00 feet; thence North 90° 00' 00" West, a distance of 40.00 feet to
the point of beginning;
- thence North 90° 00' 00" West, along the North right-of-way line of Water Well
Road, a distance of 1264.49 feet;
- thence North 00° 05' 00" West, along the East right-of-way line of Commerce Street,
a distance of 2608.91 feet:
- thence North 89° 56' 23" East, a distance of 1268.11 feet to a point on the West right-
of-way line of Ohio Street;
- thence South 00° 00' 22" East, a distance 2609.51 feet back to the point of beginning.
The above described tract of land contains 75.84 acres, more or less.
meeting one or more of the classifications for annexation prescribed by K.S.A. 12-519 to 12-526,
inclusive, is hereby annexed and made a part of the City of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. That the Salina Service Area Map (Figure 18, P, 172) of the Comprehensive
Plan of the City of Salina be and is hereby amended to show the above described tract as a Primary
Service Area for the extension of City utilities and services.
Section 3. That the tract of land described in Section 1 above shall be zoned "A-1"
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT upon annexation into the city.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city newspaper.
