AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SALE AND/OR CONSUMPTION OF CEREAL MALT
BEVERAGES AT CERTAIN TIMES AND PLACES; AMENDING SECTION 6-48 OF THE SALINA CODE
AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Section 1. That Section 6-48 of the Salina Code be amended to read
as follows:
''Sec. 6-48. Hours, days sales and consumption prohibited.
No cereal malt beverages may be_sold, or may be consumed
in any place of business having a retailer's license, between
the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. or on Sunday or on
the day of any national, state, county, or local elections
including primary elections, during the hours the polls are
open, within the political area in which such election is
held; provided however, that the above provisions shall not
apply to a premise duly licensed pursuant to Article 26 of
Chapter 41 of K.S.A."
Section 2. That the existing Section 6-48 of the Salina Code is
hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full form and effect from and
after its adoption and publication in the official city newspaper.
