ORDINANCE NUMBER 22-11121
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF THREE STREET SEGMENTS IN mE
STONE LAKE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, the final plat of the Stone Lake Addition was recorded in the Saline County Register of
Deeds office on September 28, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the recorded final plat of the Stone Lake Addition contained two looped· streets,
Crystal Lake Drive and Shoreline Drive, which have segments that run parallel to each other which results in
the possibility of having duplicative street addresses; and
WHEREAS, Stone Lake Development, LLC, the developer of Stone Lake Addition has requested
that the name of portions of Crystal Lake Drive and Shoreline Drive be changed to avoid confusion and
address duplication; and
WHEREAS, there are no similarly sounding or conflicting street names in the city; and
WHEREAS, written notice of the requested street name changes was provided to all potentially
affected property owners prior to the Planning Commission's June 7, 2022 hearing and no objections to the
proposed street name changes were received, SO NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. Amendment. The official street map of the City of Salina, Kansas is amended to change the
following street names in Stone Lake Addition:
1. Crystal Lake Drive and Shoreline Drive northwest and north of the sandpit lake to North Shore
Drive.
2. Crystal Lake Drive and Shoreline Drive southwest of the sandpit lake to Vista Sur Drive.
3. A portion of Shoreline Drive west of the sandpit lake to Malibu Drive. (As depicted on the attached
Exhibit).
Section 2. Recording. For the purposes of recording this ordinance with the office of th~aline ·county
Register of ~eeds, this street name c,!;-ange abuts and relates to Lot 17 through 26, Bloc!>:l, Lots 8 through
12, Block 2, Lots 19~d 20, Block 3, Lots 1 th!Y11gh 5 and Lots 16 through 20, Block 4, Lots 1 through 10
and Lot 15, Block 5, Lots 2 through 7, Block 7 and Lots 10 through 22, Block 8"(;"f Stone Lake Addition to
the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas .
Section 3. Summary of Ordinance for Publication. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication once by summary in the official city newspaper .
Ordinance No. 22-11121 Summary
On July 11 , 2022, the City of Salina, Kansas, passed Ordinance No. 22-11121. The
ordinance changes the name of Crystal Lake Drive and Shoreline Drive northwest and north
of the sandpit lake to North Shore Drive, Crystal Lake Drive and Shore1ine Drive southwest
of the sandpit lake to Vista Sur Drive and a portion of Shoreline Drive west of the sandpit
