AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF
CHEROKEE STREET WITHIN THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That a portion of Cherokee Street, a public street in the
City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, described as follows:
All of that part of Cherokee Street which lies between
the south right-of-way line of Republic Avenue and the
north right-of-way line of Cloud Street
be and the same is hereby vacated; provided, however, the City retains twenty
foot utility easements along the east and west right-of-way of Cherokee Street.
Section 2. That the above described portion of Cherokee Street, which
is vacated by this ordinance, shall revert to the adjacent property owners in
accordance with K.S.A. 13-443.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
