07-03-1939 Minutes1 1 1 CO1 ISSION-ERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR I:'EETING. COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. JULY 3, 1939. Regular Fleeting of the Board of Commissioners July 3, 1939. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Breon and Form and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Mitchell absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 26, 1939 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Form the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Breon and Form (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Mitchell absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-35. An agreement was entered into between the City of Salina and the St. Johns School, Inc., for the leasing of a certain tract of land known as Thomas Park. On motion of Commissioner Branson same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of a certain claim." On m otion of Commissioner Form the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll wase alled and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ivlorgenstern, Branson, Breon and Form (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Mitchell absent. 1dayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-36. An endorsement was received notifying the City of Salina of the cancellation of insurance policy covering 1935 Oldsmobile Sedan, Motor No. 425818, Serial No. 123237, owned by John L. Ribble. City Clerk was instructed to notify Mr. Ribble of such cancellation. Trust Deed, with a deposit of $100.00 for perpetual care of Lot 95, Block "B" in the Gypsum hill Cemetery of Salina, nansas, was received from C. B. Dodge, Trustee of the First Christian Church of the City of Salina, Kansas, for the care of the Underwood lot. Commissioner Branson moved that Trust Deed be accepted by the Board of Commissioie rs and that the City `treasurer be instructed to place the deposit in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endovmiert Fund as pro- vided by Ordinance Number 3530 of the City of Salina, Kansas. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk �1
