MARCH 13, 1939.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 13,
1939. Meeting was called to order by Mayor i"lorgenstern, the roll
was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm and 61itchell
and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Jackson absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of I-aarch 6, 1939 were read
and approved as read.
from: Application for taxicab drivers license for 1939 was received

On motion of Commissioner germ application was approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
T. A. Williams made application to move a brick filling sta-
tion from the northwest corner of Fifth otreet and Ash ''treet to
Lots 8, 10 and 12, Block 9, Pacific Addition. Commissioner Branson
moved that permit be granted if planked all the way and cash deposit
made to property owners to protect damage to sidewalks. .I�Iotion
adopted.
The following applications for Cereal Malt Leverage License
for 1939 were received:

Commissioner Branson moved that applications be granted and
that the City Clerk be directed to issue license tos aid applicants.
Motion adopted.
A petition was presented asking for the surfacing of Tenth
Street from Pacific Street to Harsh Street and on Harsh Street from
Ninth Street to Tenth 6treet. Same was referred to the City Manager.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance authorizing the issuance of bonds of the City of Salina,
Kansas, in the sum of Porty-Eight Thousand Dollars (648,000.00) for
the purpose of taking up and refunding a like amount of outstanding
bonded indebtedness of said City." Ordinance was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Ferm the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
