COUILIIISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR IIEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM
SALINA, KANSAS.
EBRUARY 20, 1939.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 20, 1939.
Meeting; was called to order by Mayor Yorgenstern, the roll was called
and Commissioners Morgenstern, Ferm, Jackson and I�iitchell and City
Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Branson absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 13, 1939 were
read and approved as read.
An application was received from J. Vi. Sprout asking permission
to erect a brick building at Eleventh and '.woodland. Commissioner Ferm
moved that application be approved by the Board of Commissioners.
I-,,otion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriation from waterworks Department Fund to 74'. P. A. Project Num-
ber 7113-3-S Account."
On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Ferm, Jackson and
I'litchell (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Branson absent. Mayor approved I
the ordinance and it is nimbered A-8. j
A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relating
to issuance of Temporary Note in the amount of $1,500.00 (W. P. A.
Project No. 7110-3-S)".
On motion of Commissioner Ferm the resolution was adopted as
read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Ferm. Jackson and Mitchell (4)
Commissioner Branson absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is
numbered 760.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 124 Resolution
Book Number 3.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Com issioner Mitchell the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Lorgenstern, Ferm, Jackson and
Mitchell (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Branson absent. Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is numbered A-9.
The following application for Cereal Ivialt Beverage License for
the year 1939 was pesented:

On motion of Commissioner Ferm application was confirmed by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Applications for taxicab licenses for the year 1939 received as

On motion of Commissioner Ferm applications were approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Ferm moved that proposal received from Butters Pump
and. Equipment Company for the purchase of a fire truck be accepted by the
Board of Commissioners, and that the Mayor be authorized to sign contract
on behalf of the City of Salina. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the Board of Co=issioners
adjourned.
