COMMISSIONEERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALIVA, KANSAS.
JANUARY 30, 1939.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 30,
1939. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Mitchell, the
roll was called and Commissioners Branson, Ferm and Mitchell and
City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioners Morgenstern and Jack-
son absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 23, 1939 were
read and approved as read.
Applications for taxicab Drivers license for the year 1939
received as follows:

Commissioner Branson moved that license be granted to the
above named applicants. Motion carried.
The following report from the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Board was
read and ordered filed:

Salina, Kansas. January 27, 1939.
"Director Worsley moved that the supervision
of the Cemetery be placed in control of the Park
Department of the City,and that all cash on
hand, in the amount of $546.21 and Certificate
No. 64587 of Homesteal Building and Loan in the
amount of �1 325.00 and Segregated Certificate
No. 419 for 705.00, total assets $2,576.21, be
turned over to the City Treasurer."

Hill Cemetery
A petition was presented asking for the curbing and gut-
tering of Hancock Street from Crawford Avenue to Illinois. Same was
referred to the City Engineer.
A petition was presented asking for the vacatiq of alley
lying between Eleventh and Twelfth Streets from Crawford 'venue to
Charles Street. Commissioner Branson moved that petition be
granted.
A communication was received from A. H. Boyle of Hoisington,
Kansas, protesting against the location of a Beer Parlor at 1401 North
Ninth Otreet in the City of Salina, Kansas. Ordered filed.

Motion by Commissioner Branson that all taxicab license ap-
plications be required to be on file by February 1,_ 1939, or the
Chief of Police cease oftation of said taxicabs. f4otion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Branson the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
