Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 28, 1938. 1'�Ieeting was called to order by Mayor i4orgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Torgenstern, Branson, Form. Jackson and Mit- chell and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Jackson absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 19, 1938 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the repair and reconstruction of a certain por- tion of a certain sewer in Ash Street in the City of Salina and providing for the payment of the cost of such improvement by the City at large and for the issuance of General lr7provement Bonds of said City to pay such cost." Same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance creating and defining certain Main and Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts in the City of Salina designated as Main Sanitary Sewer District "R" and Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts No. 179 and 180, and providing for and construction of main and lateral sanitary sewers in said Miain Sewer District "R" and in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts Eo. 179 and 180 so created, and providing for the cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in said dis- tricts for the (payment of such construction and for the issuing of bonds therefor.' Same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. Loved by Commissioner Mitchell that application of Nell Seitz, Seitz Bros. Realty Company and others, for rezoning of Lots 1 and 3, Seitz Second Addition, as recommended by the City Planning Commission be laid on the table. Motion adopted. A petition was presented asking for the vacation of the alley lying; between Eleventh and Twelfth Streets from Charles Street to Crawford Avenue. Same was referred to the City Manager. Notice of cancellation of taxicab insurance policy covering taxicab of R. F. Taylor Number 2, 1938 Plymouth Sedan, motor No. P6-29925, Serial No. 1241918; and taxicab of Everett W. Jukes, No. 20, 1935 Hudson Sedan, Motor No. 66541, serial No. 535939 were Received. Tyioved by Commissioner T,litchell that taxicab license of the above named parties be cancelled, and that they be notified by the City Clerk of such cancellation, and that the Chief of Police notify these parties to cease operation of such taxicabs. lViotion adopted. Application from Jack Deeds and 1�1. A. Dawson, relating to use of Salina Airport was read.
