Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 5, 1938.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Isiorgenstern, the roll was called
and Commissioners iaorgenstern, Branson, Ferm and :Mitchell and City
Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Jackson absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 28, 1938 were

read and approved as read,
Application was received from Pearl W. Hartzell for compro-
mise of taxes on Lot 9 and the South 1/2 Lot 7, Blocs; 15, South Park
Addition, for years 1931 to 1937, for 50% of accrued taxes: and penalties.
On motion of Commissioner Branson application for compromise approved
and the City Clerk authorized to certify same to the County Clerk.
Motion adopted.

Application for taxicab drivers license for the balance of
1938 received from:

On motion of Commissioner r'erm application was granted by the
Board of Commissioners. Irlotion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Cormaissioner I+itchell the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was Y ad; Ayes: riorgenstern, Branson, Fern,
and T`iitchell (4) Nays: (0 Commissioner Jackson absent. Mayor ap-
proved the ordinance and itis numbered 4918.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing and guttering
of Seventh Street
from Harsh Street to Hamilton Street. Referred to
the City Engineer.
Protest was received against rezoning Lots 1 and 3, Seitz
Second Addition, (iteplat of Surveyors Plat 10) from "A" Residence
Zone to "C" Commercial Zone. Same was ordered filed.
A communication wasr eceived from Ed Buchanan in reference
to cleaning up lot at the north-east corner of Walnut Street and Olive
Street. Referred to the City Manager.
On motion of Commissioner Branson the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
