Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 7, 1938. :eeting was called to order by Mayor TiorCenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Lorgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and Mitchell and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular T:ieeting of October 31, 1938 were read and approved as r eac',.. The following recomriendations were received from the City Planning; and Zoning Corvnission: Salina, Kansas, November 5, 1938 ITon, 1,ayor and City Commission City of Salina Salina, Kansas Gentlemen The City Planning and Zoning Cormais- Sion, having beencalled into a special meeting to consider applications for rezoning, herewith presents to your honorable body recorrrendations for consideration. In the petition for the rezoning of Lots 1 and 3, Seitz Second Addition to the City of Salina, located at 9th and Crawford, the Commission, after due consideration of the petition, favorably recomunends to the City Co=ission the rezoning from "A" Residential to "C' Conr:ercial, Lots 1 and 3 Seitz Second Addition to the City of Salina, as described in the accompanying petition. The Commission, in recornending this petition for favorable consideration, also recora- n.ends for consideration, should favorable con- sideration be given to the petition, the set -back of the curb line .,)round the described property on Crawford and 1�inth Streets, similar to the set -back on South �Itreet on the north side of Asbury Hospital, to permit of parking outside of the general traffic lane on both streets. In the case of the petition for the rezoning of Lots 169 to 187, inclusive, on Fourth Street, the Co.=~imission, after careful consideration, does not recom-i.end to the City Commission the rezoning of the above described lots as described in the attached petitions. ,respectfully submitted CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COT:�iI:I_SSION By: Chas. On motion of Corutiissioner Jackson recomplendations of Plan- ning Commission were approved and City Clerk instructed to publish notice for thirty da.vs of proposed change as required by law, re- lating to rezoning of Lots 1 and 3 Seitz Second Addition from "A" Residence to "C" Uor__-ercial Zone, with a set -back requirement from the property line on both Crawford Avenue and inth Street to con- form to the residence set -back on both of said streets. The recormlendation of the Planning Commission relating to peti- tion for the rezoning of Lots 169 to 187 inclusive on Fourth Street from "D" Residence to "C" Commercial zone, that such petition be rejected, and on motion of Commissioner Branson approved. Application for taxicab drivers license for the balance of 1938 received from: Liatt Icheidt On notion of Commissioner Jackson application was approved by the 3oard of Commissioners. Lotion adopted. A petition was received asking for the curbing and guttering of Beloit Avenue from Fourth Street to Osborne Street. Sarie was referred to the City Engineer.
