j Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners September 26,
1938. Lleeting was called to order by Acting Tvlayor Jackson, the
roll was called and Commissioners Jackson, Branson, Fern and Twlitchell
and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner T'Viorgenstern absent.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 19, 1938 were
read and approved as read.
Application for taxicab license for the balance of 1938 re-
ceived as follows:

Commissioner Branson moved that application be approved by
the Board of Commissioners. !~'lotion adopted.

Commissioner Fern moved that application be approved by the
j Board of Commissioners. Tyiotion adopted.
A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution author-
izing the City 1 ana er and the City Engineer of Salina, Kansas to file
an application to the United States of tlmerica through the Federal
Emergency Administration of Public Works for a grant to aid in financ-
ing the construction of paving and grading improvements on certain
streets in the City of Salina, Kansas, and designating E. W Hopkins,
City Engineer and H. L. Brown, City T.1lanager of Salina, Kansas to furnish
such information as the Government may request."
On motion of Commissioner Litchell the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the followirg
vote was had; Ayes: Jackson, Branson, Fern and L"Litchell (4) Nays:
(0) Commissioner Morgenstern absent. Acting T,ayor approved the
resolution and it is numbered 751.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Pees numbered 112
and 113, Resolution Book Number 3.

journed.
