P`eeting was called to order by Acting Pdlayor Jackson the roll was called and Commissioners Jackson, Branson, Perm and p+Iitchell and City rttorney Norris responded. Commissioner P.Iorgenstern absent. The request and call for a special meeting of said Board of Com- missioners of said City for the purpose of passing on a resolution to be submitted to said Board at said meeting was read as follows: September 26, 1938. `le, the undersigned members of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, do hereby call, and consent to the holding of a special meeting of said Board of Commissioners of said City for the purpose of passing on a resolution to be submitted to said Board at said meeting, a copy of which is attached hereto, and to pass on the question of auth- orizing the execution of a deed to The Butzer Packing Company, as mentioned in said resolution, and such other matters pertinent thereto as the Board may desire tp cpnsider. Jackson, Vice -Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, and acting L'ayor of said City in the absence from said City and from the State of Kansas of Ed Miorgenstern, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners and 11iayor of said City, do here- by request the paLsage and adoption of a Resolution, a copy of which is attached 'hereto and marked Resolution ;'Io. 750, at a special meeting to be held on this date pursuant to the call and consent for said meeting at- tached hereto, because of an emergency existing re- quirir, the passage of such resolution at this date and at this time. A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relating to certain land condemned by the City of Salina, pursuant to Resolution No. 699." On motion of Corunissioner Mitchell the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had: Ayes: Jackson, Branson, Perm and Mitchell (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner P�Iorgenstern absent. Acting Playor approved the resolu- tion and it is numbered 750. The above resolution is recorded in full on Pages numbered 110 and 111, riesolution Book Number 3. On motion of Commissioner 14itchell the Actin; Tvlayor and the City Clerk were authorized and directed, on behalf of the City of Salina, Kansas, to execute and deliver to The Butzer Packing Company, a deed conveying to said The Butzer Packing Company all thst part of Lot 7 and the East 35 feet of Lot 6, Block 10, Chicago Addition in the City of Salina, Kansas, which lies or will lie west of the toe of the slope of an enbankment to be constructed as an approach to a viaduct or overpass to be constructed by the State Highway Commission of Kansas, across certain railroad tracks adjacent to said Block 10, Chicago Addition. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Branson the Board of Commmissioners ad- journed. City Clerk ����
