Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 20, 1938.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was
called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm and Mitchell
and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Jackson absent.
Meeting was held for the purpose of acting on the appraisers
reports for the construction of the following lateral sanitary sewers:
Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 17 located in the alley between
Seven YE ander ghth Streets, from acific Avenue to the alley north
of Grand Avenue;
Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 158 located in Merrill Street from
Venang-6-ST—re-WE to Republic venue;
Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 175 located in alley between Kansas
Avenue and DesMoines Avenue from the manhole approximately 375 feet
north of Elm Street to Riverside Drive;
Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 176 located in alley between Columbia
Avenue and Kansas venue, sou o ypsum Avenue;
Lateral Sanitar Sewer No. 177 located on Pacific Avenue from
alley—Eying a we .n an en�T Streets to alley between Tenth
and Eleventh from Pacific to alley north of Grand Avenue; and
Lateral Sanitary Sewer No. 178 located in Sherman Street between
Venango Street and Crawford Avenue.
The appraisers report for the construction of Lateral Sanitary
Sewer No. 17 was taken up and read as follows:

We. John Frederick, E. D. Martin and L. W. Carl, being duly and
severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does hereby
solemnly swear that he is disinterested in any of the property
liable to special assessment for the cost of constructing Lateral
Sanitary Sewer No. 17 located in the alley between Seventh and
Eighth Streets, f rom acific Avenue to the alley north of Grand
Avenue, as more particularly described and provided for in Ordinance
Number 4836 of the City of Salina, Kansas, and that each of us will
to the best of our judgment and ability make a true and impartial
appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such
street as above mentioned, without regard to the buildings or improve-
ments thereon for the distance improved as set forth and designated
by the Board of Commissioners in theordinance above mentioned. So
help us God.

for in Ordinance No. 4836 of the City of Salina, Kansas, have appraised
the property hereinafter mentioned at the value set opposite thereto,
