COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALIVA, KANSAS.
APRIL 25, 1938.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 25, 1938.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor lylorenstern, the roll was called
and Commissioners I'+lorgenstern, Branson, 'erm, Jackson and Mitchell and
City "ttorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular liieeting of April 18, 1938 were
read and approved as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license r e ceived from:
Loy A. Buchenau
H. Pedersen
Commissioner Ferm moved that applications be approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Richardson Transfer Company asked permission to construct a
building on Lot 9, Block 8, Woodland Addition, to be used for a
Transfer Storage. Commissioner Perm moved that permission be
granted, provided, a letter be filed from the propert owner on the
south, showing no objection to said improvement. Motion adopted.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing and gutter-
ing Des Moines Avenue between Ash Street and Elm Street. Same was
granted.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A
' Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and grading Des Moines
Avenue from the north line of Ash Street to the south line of Elm
tit." Same was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
Mayor Norgenstern submitted the name of A. B. Mackie as a
member of the Memorial Hall Board for a term of three years from
April 1, 1938.
Mayor Morgenstern submitted the name of Alex H. Miller,
as a member of the Public Health Nursing Board to fill vacancy created
by the death of D. A. VanTrine. On motion of Commissioner Branson
appointment was confirmed by the Board of Commissioners. '"otion
adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Ferm the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
