COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINCZ, SPECIAL MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
FEBRUARY 21, 1938.
Special meeting of the Board of Cormnissioners February 21,
1938. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll
was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and
Kitchell and City Attorney Norris responded.
Meeting was held for the purpose of acting on the appraisers
reports for the construction of: I
Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 154, located in Merrill
Street from Venango Street to Crawford Avenue;
L ateral SSani�tary Sewer Number 156 located in Custer
Street from Venango Street to Republic Avenue; and
. Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 174 located in the alley be-
tween Olive Street and Chicago Street fromUniversity Place to Mari-
etta Avenue.
The appraisers report for the construction of Lateral Sani-
tary Sewer Number 154 located in Merrill Street from Venango Street
to Crawford Avenue was taken up and read as follows:

We. John Frederick, E. D. Idartin and L. IV, Carl, being
duly and severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does
hereby solemnly swear that he is disinterested in any of the property
liable to special assessment for the cost of constructing Lateral
Sanitary Sewer No. 154 located in Merrill Street, beginning at an
existing manhole in the intersection of Venango Street and Merrill
Street, thence north 845 feet to a flush tank to be constructed
approximately 50 feet south of the south line of Crawford Avenue, as
more particularly described and provided for in Ordinance No. 4761
of the City of Salina, Kansas, and that each of us will to the best
of our jud€ment and ability make a true and impartial appraisement
of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such street as
above mentioned, without regard to the buildings or improvements
thereon for the distance improved as set forth and designated by the
Board of Commissioners in the ordinance above mentioned. So help
us God.

On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the appraisres report for
the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 154 located in Mer-

Motion adopted.
The appraisers report for the construction of Lateral Sanitary
Sevier Number 156 located in Custer Street from Venang.o Street to Repub-
