COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,

JANUARY 31, 1938*
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 31,,
1938* Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern,, the roll
was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson and Ferm and City
Attorney Norris responded* Commissioners Jackson and Mitchell
absent*
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 24,, 1938
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: *An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Ferm the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on Its finalsdoption the roll was called and
the followin vote was had; Ayes: Morgensternq Branson and Ferm
(3) Nays: 10) Commissioners Jackson and Mitchell absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and It is numbered 4828.
The following claim to be paid from Relief Highway Fund
was presented for payment:
Chas* E. Banker,, City Clerk.. Cash paid out for labor $354,11
Commissioier Ferm, moved that claim be approved by the Board
of Commissioners, otion adopted.
An
ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation from the Relief Highway Fund for the payment of a
certain claim,"
On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had**Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson
a nd Ferm (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Jackson and Mitchell absent.
Mayor approved.the ordinance and it is numbered 4829.

On motion of Commissioner Branson applications were approved
by the Board of Commissioners* Motion adopted,

A communication was received from Mrs. Ray Craig., asking
for relief from the funds of the Firement Relief Association of
Salina., Kansas. Same was tabled until the Regular Meeting of Feb
ru-
ary 7,, 1938,
Applications for Pool Hall License for the first six months
of 1938 received as follows:
