COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS., REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
aALINA, KANSAS.
JANUARY 24, 1938.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 24,
1938. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was
called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and Mit-
chell and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 17, 1938 were
read and approved as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license received as follows:
Warren T. Fitch
D. Co Massey
Donald Be Smith
Commissioner Ferm moved that applications be approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Branson moved that application received from
Mr* treason asking for license to operate taxicabs in the City of
Salina be rejected, and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had: Ayes: Branson, Jackson and Mitchell (3)
Nays: Firm (1) Commissioner Morgenstern not voting.
A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relat-
ing to the settlement and release of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Branson the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following {
vote was had- Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and Mitchell
(5) Nays: 10) Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered
717.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 77 of Resolu-
tion Book Number 3.
Mr, F• C. Branson asked permission to place a temporary sign
on the north-west corner of Fifth Street and Mulberry Street, where
building to be occupied by Perfect System Bakery is being erected.
On motion, permission was granted.
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
