COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.

Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 3. 1938•
Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Jackson, the roll was
called and Commissioners Jackson, Branson, Ferm and Mitchell and City
Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Morgenstern absent,

An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
j an appropriation for the payment of certain claims*"
On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read.
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vot was had; Ayes: Jackson, Branson, Ferm and
Mitchell (4) Nags: �0) Commissioner Morgenstern absent, Acting
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4818,
The following claim to be paid from Relief Highway Fund was
j presented for payment:
Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk, Cash paid out for labor $295,45
On motion of Commissioner Ferm claim was approved by the
Board of Commissioners, Motion adopted,
An.ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation from the Relief Highway Fund for the payment of a
certain claim,"
On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Jackson, Branson, Ferm and Mit-
chell (4) Nays; (0) Commissioner Morgenstern absent. Acting Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4819.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims,"
On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final aloption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jackson, Branson, Ferm and
Mitchell (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Morgenstern absent, Acting
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4820.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance appro-
priating and transferring a certain sum of money from the Sinking
Fund Account in the City Treasury to the General Bonds and Interest
Fund in the City Treasury.
On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes:. Jackson, Branson, Ferm and
Mitchell (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Morgenstern absent. Acting
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4821,
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance appro-
priating and transferring certain money from the Waterworks Department
Fund to W. P. A. Project Number 6301 Account."

On motion of Commissioner Ferm the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the followinvote was had; Ayes: Jackson, Ferm, Branson and Mitchell

(4) Nays; 0) Commissioner Morgenstern absent. Acting Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is numbered 4822,
A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relat-
Ing to issuance of Temporary Note in the amount of $1700.00,(1. P. A,
Project No. 6301 Account.)
On emotion of Commissioner Branson the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the followin
vote was had; Ayes: Jackson, Branson, Ferm and Mitchell (4) Nags: 70)
Commissioner Morgenstern absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution
and it is numbered 716.

The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 76, Resolution
Book Number 3.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation from the W. P. A. Project Number 6301 Account for the'pay-
ment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Jackson, Branson, Perm and Mitchell
(4) Nays: 0) Commissioner Morgenstern absent. Acting Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is numbered 4823.
Application for taxicab drivers license was received from Paul S.
Stevens, and on motion of Commissioner Branson same was approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted*
Application for taxicab drivers license was received from Chas. E.
Coffman, and on motion of Commissioner Perm, same was approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Application for taxicab drivers license was received from Ben
Gough, and on motion of Commissioner Branson same was approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
