DECEMBER 27, 1937•
Special meeting of the Board of COMmissioners December 27,
1937. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was
called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and Mitchell
and City Attorney Norris responded.
Meeting was held for the purpose of acting on the appraisers
reports for the curbing and guttering of:
CLARK STREET from State Street to Marietta Avenue;
COLUMBIA AVENUE from Elm Street to Riverside Drive;
DELAWARE STREET from Iron Avenue to Stapler Avenue;
ELLSWO RTH AVENUE from Highland Circle to east line of
Pershing, except along the south side of and adjacent
tb Lot 4, Block 60 Highland (hurt Addition;
ELEVENTH STREET from Jewell Avenue to Kirwin Avenue;
FRANKLIN STREET from Ninth Street to Eleventh Street;
GRAND AVENUE from Ninth Street to Tenth Street;
JENELL AVENUE from the west line of Tenth Street to the
s east line of Pershing on the south side of Jewell Avenue;
and from the west line of Lot 4, Block 8, Highland lburt
Addition to the east line of Pershing Street on the north
side of. Jewell Avenue;
PARK STREET from Railroad Street to Chicago street;
PERSHING STREET (east side) from the north line of Jewell
Avenue north to the north line of Lot 99 Block 6, Highland
Court Addition;
PRESCOTT AVENUE from Twelfth Street west to a point
124 feet west. of Phillips Street north of Prescott Avenue
and the west side of Phillips Street south of Pbesoott
Avenue;
sHERMAN STREET from Crawford Avenue to Republio Avenue;
TENTH STREET from Jewell Avenue to Kirwin Avenue;
and for the paving of:
BELOIT AVENUE from Highland Circle to Funston Street;
NINTH STREET (center of street) from Lincoln Avenut to
Pacific Avenue; and
SUNSET DRIVE from Pershing Street to a line parallel with
and 125 feet west of the west line of Funston Street, were taken up
and acted on by the Board of Commissioners.
The appraisers report for the curbing and glittering of
Clark Street from State Street to Marietta Avenue was taken up and
read as o ows:

and severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does hereby
solemnly swear that he iv disinterested in any of the property liable
to special assessment for the cost of curbing and guttering Clark Street
from the south line of State Street to the north line of Marietta
Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas, as more particularly described
and provided for in Ordinance Number 4777 of the City of Salina.. Kansas;
and that each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a
true and impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground
abutting on such street as above mentioned, without regard to the buildings]
or improvements thereon, for the distance improved as set forth and
designated by the Board of Commissioners in the ordinance above mentioned.

paving of Sunset Drive from the west line of Pershing Street to a
line parallel with and 125 feet west of the west line of Funston
Street was dopted as amended. Motion adopted.
The appraisers report for the paving the unpaved portion of
Ninth Street (in the center of the street) from the north line of
Lincoln Street to the south line of Pacific Avenue was taken up and
