I: I Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 29, { 1937. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and Mit- chell and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 22, 1937 were ' -- read and approved as read. H. F. Baier appeared before the Board of Commissioners in regard to auction sale license for auction being held at his jewelry store at the corner of Santa Fe Avenue and Iron Avenue. i Commissioner Branson moved that a permit to run sale until December 11, 1937 for $100.00 be granted by the Board of Commissioners. Commissioner Ferm also moved that if sale lasts longer than December j 110 1937 a fee of $5.00 per day be charged, up to and including December 18, 1937. Motions adopted by the Board of Commissioners. i An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance requiring examinations and certificates for plumbers, creating a Board of Examiners 'of Plumbers, providing for the duties of such Board, and providing for penalties for the violation of such i ordinance,." On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and Mitchell (5) Nags: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4804. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creating a Board of Health in the City of Salina, Kansas.. solely for the purposes set forth in Ordinance No. 4804, being an Ordi- nance requiring examinations and certificates for Plumbers." On motion of Commissioner Ferm the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jack- son and Mitchell (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4805. Application for taxicab drivers license received from: Vernard Baier. Commissioner Jackson moved tha t application be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. Commissioner Mitchell moved tha t Sign Permit No. 171 be granted to Rogers Outdoor Advertising, if the fence on East Ash Street be placed in shape subject to the approval of the City Manager. Motion adopted. Mr. Condray, manager of the Curtis Hotel, at 140 South Seventh Street, asked for two no -parking spaces in front of the hotel. Commis- sioner Ferm moved that request be granted by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the Board of Commissioner the Board of Commissioners. adjourned.
