Meeting ReLular meeting of the Board of Commissioners September S. 1937. �tleeting was called to order by Mayor I#Iorgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and Mit- chell and City Attorney Norris responded. I The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 31, 1937 were I read and approved as read. Continental Oil Company submitted plans and specifications for Filling Station to be constructed on the corner of Ninth Street and Ash Street. Commissioner Jackson moved that permit be granted by the Board of Commissioners. ,Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "Ar_ ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: : I orgenstern, Branson, berm, Jackson and Mitheell (5) Nays: (0� Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 4774, The following claim to be paid from Relief Highway Fund wzs presented for payment: C i Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk Cash paid out for labor 0 $548.93 Commissioner Jackson moved that claim be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an j appropriation from the Relief Highway Fand for the payment of a certain { claim." i On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote inras had; $yes : Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and Mitchell (5) Nays: (0 Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4775. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A resolution relating to the paving of Beloit Avenue from the west line of HiElaand Circle to the east line of Funston Street in the City of Salina, Kansas." On i:iotion of Conmissioner Jackson the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and Mitchell (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 704. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 55, Resolution Book Number 3. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A resolution relating to the curbing and guttering and grading of the north side of Beloit Avenue from the east line of Lot 2, Block 13, Highland Court Addition to the east line of Funston Street." On motion of Commissioner Ferm same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. Commissioner Branson moved that permit be ; ranted with a set -back in line of the Filling Station, and buildin r to be constructed with hip roof. 'Notion adopted.
