Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners July 26, 1937.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called
and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Fern,, Jackson and lvditchell
and City Attorney Rorris responded,
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 19, 1937 were
read and approved as read.
A petition was presented asking for the extension of
Mater mains on Fifth Street from Pacific street north. Same was
referred to the Waterworks Advisory Board.
A petition was presented asking for the construction of a
sidewalk on the west side of Ohio Avenue from Gyspum Avenue north
connect with Lot 6, Block 1, Phillips East Salina Addition. Same
was referred to the City Manager.
Commissioner Branson moved that the Sutorius Baking Company
be given permission to place a gasoline pump on the parking in front
of their place of business on 'lest Bishop Street. Motion adopted.
C. Wo Lamer appeared before the Board of Commissioners in
behalf of the Racing Association and asked permission to hang a
banner across Santa Fe Avenue and Iron Avenue. Commissioner Mitchell
moved that the request be not granted. Motion adopted.
The proposed Budget for the year 1938 as submitted by the
City Manager was considered, and on motion of Commissioner Fermi was
approved as the proposed budget for 1938, and August 9, 1937 at 4:30
P. M. was fixed as the date for public hearing on said budget as
provided by law. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the Board. of Commission-
ers adjourned.
