Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 21, 1937.
Meeting was called to order by'Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called
and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson, and Mitchell
and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 14, 1937 were read
and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson
and Mitchell (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered 4757*
The following claims to be paid from Relief Highway Fund were
presented for payment:
Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk, Cash paid out for labor and
freight 063.46
The Texas Company Asphalt 21.60
Outnam Sand & Bldg. Co. Sand 3.56
Total - - - - - - - - ;38-8.52
On motion of Commissioner Jackson claims vdere allowed by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation from the Relief Highway Fund for the payment of certain
claims."
On motion of Commissioner iditchell the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson
and Mitchell (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered 4758.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing, guttering and
sanding Sherman Street from Crawford Avenue to Republic Avenue. Same
was referred to the City manager and to the City Engineer.
The following application for Cereal Malt Beverage License
was presented, and on motion of Commissioner Jackson same was rejected
by the Board of Commissioners.
