Fleeting was called to order by Mayor Y rgenstern, the roll was called � and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and Mitchell and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Fleeting of June 7, 1937 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for and requiring the construction of certain con- crete sidewalks in certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas.t' On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its finalsdoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Yuiorgenstern, Branson, Form, Jackson and Mitchell (5) Nays: (0) Fiayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4755. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing that certain platted and unplatted tracts of land which adjoin the present limits of the City of Salina be added to, taken into and made parts of the City of Salina; extending the limits of said City to include said added lands; defining the corporate limits of said city as extended, and repealing all ordinances in conflict with this ordinance." On motion of Commissioner Jackson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and Mitchell (5) Nays: (0) biayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4756. Application for taxicab license received as follows: Holly Dalton, Owner, Deluxe Cab Company, Operator Cab #13 Commissioner %,Iitchell moved that application be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. Application for taxicab drivers license received from: Holly Dalton Commissioner Ferm moved that application be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. Commissioner Branson moved that Taxicab License No. 23 issued to J. C. Porter be revoked on account of insurance having been cancelled. Motion adopted. The following deeds from the a.lausoleum Builders Corporation were presented for: Crypts #329 and 330 to Clara B. Ruhling Crypts #229 and 230 to Clara B. Ruhling, Albert F. Berg and Ora B. Tapp. also assignment from Guy R. Ryan of Crypt No. 361 to the Corporation . Check in the amount of yp100.00 in payment of Endoviment on #229. The endowment on Crypt #230 transferred from 361; also check in the amount of $7.25 balance due on endowment of the Ruhling crypts. On motion of Commissioner Ferm the Mayor was authorized to sign the two deeds on behalf of the City of Salina. Motion adopted. The matter of the revocation of the cereal malt beverage license of P. Morton as a General Retailer Class "B", under license No. 6130, granted by the Board of Commissioners on May 3, 1937, under Ordinance No. 4741 pursuant to the notice served on said P. Morton as directed by the Board of Commissioners on Mlay 24, 1937, came on for hearing. P. Morton appeared in person and by his attorney r'. C. Norton. The Commissioners heard the statements of police officers, Glen Soldan, Jesse I71cFlickell, Lewis Day, 17. B. Flickinger and Chief of Police D. K. Fitch, and the statements of P. Irlorton and R. R. Rowan., and after hearin3 such statements the matter of revocating said license was duly considered and discussed by the Board of Commission- ers. 158 f `Thereupon, Commissioner Branson moved that the Cereal Malt Beverage License issued to P. Dorton by the Board of Commissioners —I on.May 3, 1937, being License No. 6130 issued under Ordinanc No. 4741 to said P. Morton as a General Retailer, Class "B" for his place of i I business at 317 South Santa Fe Avenue to be carried on lander the name of Q !dE Q be revoked for the reason that said P. Morton has permitted I gambling in or upon the premises covered by said license. The Motion was duly carried by the unanimous vote of the Board of Commissioners and the City Clerk was instructed to revoke such license on his records and to cause notice of such revocation to be served upon said P.TZorton I by the Thief of Police. On motion of Commissioner Jackson the Board of Commissioners adjourned. I City Clerk 0
