86 and 84 on Eighth Otreet and Lots 80 and 81
on Ash Street, being in the original plat in
the City of Salina.
The commission, after careful investiga-
tion, favorably considered the petition for this
rezoning and, accordingly, favorably recommends
it to she Honorable Commission for their con-
sideration.

City paper providing for the proposed change in Zoning Ordinance.
A petition was presented asking for the curbinZ and gutter-
ing of Delaware Street from Iron Avenue to Stapler Avenue. Same was
referred to the City Manager and to the City Engineer.

Meeting was Called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called
and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson and Mitchell
and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Fleeting of May 17, 1937 were
read and approved as read.
Bids for Refreshment Privileges in Oakdale Park during the
Swimming Pool Season of 1937 received "s follows:

Commissioner Jackson moved that bid of Archie Hazen for

mission met in the office of the Chamber
of Commerce at 4:30 P.IVI. on May 21, with all
members present for the purpose of considering
a petition for the rezoning of certain proper-
ties.

Kansas received from Mrs. Emily E. Bauchop.
Commissioner Branson moved that deed be accepted by the
Board of Commissioners and that the City Treasurer be instructed to
place the deposit in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund as pro-
vided by Ordinance Number 3530 of the City of Salina, Kansas. Lotion
adopted.
The following application for Cereal Malt Beverage License
was presented, and on motion of Commissioner Ferm was approved by
the Board of Commissioners and the City Clerk was directed to issue
license to the applicant as follows:

Information was presented to the Board of Commissioners
relative to the revocation of malt and cereal beverage license
heretofore issued to P. Morton as a General Retailer Class "B", being
License No. 6130, granted by the Board of Commissioners on May 3,
1937, under the provisions of Ordinance Number 4741 on account of
the alleged violation by said P. Morton of certain provisions of
said ordinance. Therefore, the following motion was presented:
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Commissioners that
there is cause to believe that the Malt and Cereal Beverage license
heretofore issued to P. Morton as a General Retailer Class "B",
under Ordinance No. 4741, being License 6130, granted to said P. Morton
by the Board of Commissioners on May 3, 1937, is subject to revocation
for the following reasons.
1. For permitting gambling in or upon the
premises covered by said license.
2. For selling malt and cereal beverages on
the premises covered by said license
between the hours of 12:00 P. PSI. AND
6:00 A. id.
Tiow therefore, be it moved that said licensee, P. Morton,
be given five days notice of a hearing to be held by the Board of
Commissioners of the City of Salina at the regular meeting room of
said Board of Commissioners in the City Hall in Salina, Kansas, on
June 1, 1937 at 4:30 P. M. for the purpose of determining whether or
not said license should be revoked as provided by law and by said
Ordinance No. 4741 and that notice of said hearing be served on said
P. Morton five days before said date by the Chief of Police of Salina,
Kansas, by delivering to him a copy of this motion duly certified
by the City Clerk.
Commissioner Mitchell moved the adoption of said motion
which is duly seconded by Commissioner Branson and the same is duly
carried and adopted by the unanimous vote of all the Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A
Resolution relating to the construction of certain sidewalks in the
City of Salina, Kansas.t' Same was referred to the Board of Com-
missioners.
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
