Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 24, 1937.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called
and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Ferm, Jackson, and Mitchell
and City Attorney Norris responded.
Meeting was held for the purpose of acting on the appraisers
reports for the curbing and guttering of:
Connecticut Avenue from Iron Avenue to Johnstown Avenue;
Kirwin Avenue from Ninth Street to Highland Avenue;
Oakdale Avenue from Elm Street to a point 550 feet north
of Elm Street;
Philli-ps Street from Charles Street to Crawford Avenue;
recurbing, reguttering and paving of:
Eighth Street from Ash Street to Iron Avenue;
Eighth Street from Iron Avenue to Vialnut Street; and
for the paving of the unpaved portion of:
Ninth Street from Jewell Avenue to Cloud Street.
The appraisers report for the curbing and guttering of
Oakdale Avenue from Elm Street to a point 550 feet north of Elm Street
was taken up and read as follows:

being duly- and severally sworn according to law, each for himself,
does hereby solemnly swear that he is disinterested in any of the
property liable to special assessment for the cost of curbing and
guttering Oakdale Avenue from Elm Street to a point 550 feet north of
Elm Street in the City of Salina, Kansas, as more particularly described
and provided for in Ordinance Number 4716 of the City of Salina, Kansas,
and that each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a
true and impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground
abutting on such street as above mentioned, without regard to the buiild-
ings or improvements thereon, for the distance improved as set forth
and designated by the Board of Commissioners in the ordinance above
mentioned. So help us God.
