Regular meeting of the Board of Com-i-issioners April 12,
1937. Yeetingwas called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll was
called and Commissioners Peters, Jackson, Yitchell and 1,1orgenstern
and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Surface absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 5, 1937 and
Canvassing Board Meeting of April 9, 1937 were read and approved as
read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the followinvote was h• Ayes: Peters, Jackson, Yitchell
and Morgenstern 4) Nays: CO) Commissioner Surface absent. Yayor
approved the ordinance and it is numbered 473-.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance repealing Section 5 of Ordinance Number 4716 relating
to the curbing, guttering and grading of Eleventh Street from Frost
Street to Republic Avenue."
On motion of Con.missioner Jackson the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Peters, Jackson, Mitchell and
Morgenstern (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Surface absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is numbered 473,x.'
A petition was presented asking for the construction of
a sidewalk on the west side of Custer Street from the south line
of Crawford Avenue to the north line of Franklin Street. Same was
ordered filed.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing and guttering
of Tenth Street from the south line of Jewell Avenue to the north
line of Kirwin Avenue. Same was granted.

A petition was presented asking for the curbing and guttering
of Franklin Street from the west line of Ninth Street to the east
line of Eleventh Street. Same was granted.
A petition was presented asking for the pavin of the center
parking on Ninth Street from the north line of Lincoln Avenue to
the south line of Pacific Avenue. Same was granted.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to the curbing and guttering and grading of
Clark Street from the south line of State Street tothe north line of
a ietta Tvenue." Referred to the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to the curbing and guttering and grading of
Ellsworth Avenue from the west line of Highland Circle to the east
line of Pers ng, except along the south side of and adjacent to Lot
4, Block 6, in HiPland Court Addition where such curb and gutter has
been constructed. Referred to the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the curbing and guttering and grading the
east side of PershinaStreet from the north line of Jewell Avenue
north to the north line o�Lot 9. Block 6, in Highland Court Addition."
Referred to the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to the curbing and guttering and grading of
Tenth Street from the south line of Jewell Avenue to the north line

A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to the curbing and guttering and grading of Frank-
lin Street fron the west line of Ninth Street to the east line of
Eleventh treet." Referred to the Board of Commissioners.

A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled:
"A Resolution relating to the paving of the unpaved portion of
Ninth Street (in the center of the street) from the north line of
Lincoln street to the south line of Pacific Avenue." Referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
An. ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance regulating the sale of cereal malt bevera-es, providing
for the licensing of persons selling the same, prescribing license
fees, establishing zones, prescribing rules and regulations relating
to the sale of cereal bevera,-es, providing for the revocation of
licenses, repealing Ordinances No. 4295, 4342 and 4634, and providing
penalties for the violation of this ordinance." Referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
Application for taxicab drivers license received from: f

Corunisloner T;orgenstern moved that application be approved
by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Jackson moved that taxicab drivers application
received from John Buchenau February 8, 1937 be granted, with the
` understanding if he is found intoxicated the license will be revoked.

of Salina, Kansas received as follows:

Commissioner Surface moved that applications be approved
by the Board of Commissioners. Lotion adopted.
