FEBRUARY 82 1937.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 8,
1937. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll was
called and Commissioners Peters, Jackson, Ivlitchell, Morgenstern and
Surface and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 10 1937 ,
and Regular Meeting of February 4, 1937 were read and approved as i
read. j
Applications for taxicab license for the year 1937 re-
ceived as follows:

On motion of Commissioner Surface applications were approved
by the Board of Commissioners. Iw'Iotion adopted.
Applications for taxicab drivers license received as fol-
lows:

On motion of Commissioner Jackson applications were ap-
proved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted,

Taxicab Drivers application received from John Buchenau j
was held for further information from the Police Department.
Applications for license to sell malt and cereal bever-
ages in the City of Salina received as follows:

On motion of Commissioner Jackson applications were
approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Release of Bond No. 121491 issued to F. D. Kastner,d/b/a
City Plumbing Company was received from Continental Casualty Com-
pany, release effective December 30, 1936. Commissioner Morgen-
stern moved that same be granted. Motion adopted.
Mayor Peters submitted the names of Mrs. H. N. Moses and
Ii1rs . J. Earl Wyatt as members of the Library Board for a term of
four years from February 1, 1937. On motion of Commissioner Jackson
appointments were confirmed by the Board of Commissioners. Motion
adopted.
Moved by Commissioner Mitchell that the City Attorney be
instructed to notify all taxicab owners whose insurance policies
have not been approved that they will be stopped from operating by
the Police Department unless they immediately furnish policies which
are approved. Motion carried.
Mr. Alex Veltman appeared before the Board of Commissioners
and requested refund of Beverage Dealers Class "A" License on account
of new license issued to his wife for same location after their sep-
aration. It appearing that he operated in same location from about
November 15, 1936 with no license, his application was rejected.
On motion of Commissioner Surface the Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
