On motion of Commissioner Surface the Board of Commissioners
adjourned to meet in Regular Session Saturday, January 30, 1937 at
10:00 A. M.

Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 27,
1937, fleeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll was called
C
and Commissioners Peters, Mitchell and Surface and City Attorney Norris
responded. Commissioners Jackson and Morgenstern absent.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the
curbing and guttering and grading of
Phillips Street from Charles Street to Crawford Avenue; &irwin Avenue
from Ninth Street to Highland Avenue; Oakdale Avenue from Elm Street to
a point 550 feet north of Elm Street; Connecticut Avenue from Iron
Avenue to Johnstown Avenue; Eleventh Street from Frost Street to Republic
Avenue; and for the paving of the unpaved portion of Ninth Street from
Jewell Street to Cloud Street; and for the recurbing and reguttering of
Eighth Street from Ash Street to Iron Avenue and from Iron Avenue to
Walnut Street; and providing for the cost of such improvements and how
the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor.'k
On motion of Commissioner Surface the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Peters, Mitchell and Surface (3)
Nays; (0)
Commissioners Jackson and Morgenstern absent. Mayor ap-
proved the ordinance and it is numbered 4716.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A Resolution
relating to the curbing and guttering and grading of
the south side of Republic Avenue from the west line of Funston
Street, west to the east line of the right-of-way of the Missouri Pacif-
ic Railroad Company."
On motion of Commissioner Surface the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Peters, Mitchell and Surface (3) Nays: (0)
Commissioners Jackson and Morgenstern absent. Mayor approved the
resolution and it is numbered 677.

adjourned to meet in Regular Session Saturday, January 30, 1937 at
