NOVEMBER 30, 1936.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 30,
1936. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll was
called and Commissioners Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgenstern and
Surface and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 23, 1936 and
Special Meeting of November 23, 1936, were read and approved as read. e —
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."'
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Peters, Jackson, Mitchell,
Morgenstern and Surface (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance i
and it is numbered 4698.
A petition was presented asking for the laying of a water
main on Eleventh Street from Frost Street to Republic Avenue. Same
was referred to the Waterworks Advisory Board.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing and guttering
of Eleventh Street from Frost Street to Republic Avenue. Same was
ordered filed.
Commissioner Surface moved that a special permit be granted
to the Minneapolis -Moline Plow Company for the construction of a
small building on North Ninth Street. Motion adopted.
City Manager recommended the cancellation of Taxicab Drivers
License No. 35 issued to John Buchenau February 4, 1936. Commissioner
Jackson moved that such taxicab drivers license be cancelled and re-
voked by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.

City Manager recommended the cancellation of City License
Number 5571 issued to A. H. Brockman, July 31, 1936, for the sale of
malt and cereal beverages in the City of Salina. Commissioner Surface
moved that such license be cancelled and revoked by the Board of Com-
missioners. Motion adopted.
