COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners October 12,
1936. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll was
called and Coammissioners'Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgenstern and
Surface responded. City Attorney Norris absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 5, 1936, were
read and approved as read.
A petition was presented asking for the location of a street
light at the intersection of Tenth Street and State Street. Same was
referred to the City Manager.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and regulating and providing for the levy and
collection of a license tax upon the business, trade or occupation of own -ll
ing or operating or maintaining certain games, devices and vending !
machines, and providing a penalty for the violation of this ordinance.'"
Same was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
On' motion of Commissioner Surface permission was granted to
Harry Curtis for the erection of a filling station on the corner of
Ninth Street and Woodlawn Avenue. Motion adopted.
On'motion of Commissioner Surface the Board of Commissioners
adjourned to meet in regular session, Friday, October 16, 1936 at
5:00 P. M.
