COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.

Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners September
80 1936. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll was
called and Commissioners Peters, Jackson, Mitchell and Surface and
City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Morgenstern absent.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 19, 1936 were i
read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."'
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Peters, Jackson, Mitchell
and Surface (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Morgenstern absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4673.
The following claim to be paid from Relief Highway Fund
was presented for payment:
Chas. E. Banker, City Clerk, Cash paid out for labor $683.84
Commissioner Jackson moved that same be approved by the
Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation from the Relief Highway Fund for the payment of a
certain claim.'
On motion of Commissioner Mitchell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Peters, Jackson, Mitchell and
Surface (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Morgenstern absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4674.
City Engineer submitted Final Estimate of Cost for the con-
struction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers numbered 172 and 173.
Commissioner Surface moved that Final Estimates be approved
and work accepted by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
*An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, kansas
to pay the cost of constructing Lateral Sanitary Sewers in Lateral
Sanitary Sewer Districts numbered 172 and 173, and relating to and
providing for the collection and payment of such assessments." Same
was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages
in the City of Salina received from:

Commissioner Jackson moved that applications be approved
by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.

Commissioner Surface moved that applications be approved
by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.

Commissioner Jackson moved that applications be approved by
the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
A petition was presented asking for parking restrictions in
the 200 Block on North Santa Fe Avenue. Same was referred to the
City Manager.
A petition was presented relating to Dog Pounds. Same was
received and ordered filed. !

adjourned.
