COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.

SALINA0 KANSAS.
AUGUST 19, 1936.
Regular meeting ing of the Board of Commissioners August 19,
1936. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Surface, the
roll was called and Commissioners Surface, Jackson and Morgenstern
responded. Co=mmissioners Mitchell and Peters and City Attorney
Norris absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 14, 1936
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance making a levy of taxes for general revenue and other
purposes by the City of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1937.*
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Surface, Jackson and Morgen-
stern (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Mitchell and Peters absent.
Acting Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 4672.
Applications for taxicab licenses received as follows:
Cecil Saum
Wm, R: Cox
Ralph Hurston
Commissioner Morgenstern moved that applications be
granted by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Mr. T. A. Williams appeared before the Board of Commissioners
and asked permission to move a house on Santa Fe Avenue from Ash Street
to Claflin Avenue. Commissioner Morgenstern moved that permission
be granted subject to the approval of the City Engineer.
Application for taxicab drivers license received from:
Chas. Hurston
Commissioner Morgenstern moved that application be granted
by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Jackson the Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
