06-22-1936 Minutes91 Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 22, 1936. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll was called and Commissioners Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgenstern and Surface and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 15, 1936, were read and approved as read. Application for taxicab drivers license received from Harold Kizer. On motion of Commissioner Morgenstern same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. The following communication was received from Mr. B. F. Holm- quist: June 22, 1936. Hon, City Commissioners of Salina, Kansas. As to my last meeting with the Commissioners in regard to license on such shows I play in my Park, I misunderstood the deal you had in mind. I would greatly appreciate it if you consider my proposition herewith today: 1 $50.00 for Amusement Park License � 1936 5.00 each day a Rep. show is played. Yours respectfully, B. F. Holmquist. Commissioner Surface moved that the proposition of $50.00 ° per season plus $5.00 per day for tent shows be accepted. Motion adopted. The appraisers reports for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers No. 172 and 173 were received, and on motion of Commissioner Morgenstern, Monday, June 29, 1936, was designated as a Special Meeting at which time the Board of Commissioners will act I on such reports, and that the City Clerk publish notice of such meeting in the official City paper as provided by law. Motion adopt- ed. The following report was received from the City Planning Commission: Salina, Kansas. June 20, 1936. Mr. Chas, E. Banker, City Clerk, City of Salina Salina, Kansas. i Dear Mr. Banker: Upon the call of Mr. F. S. Dyar, Chairman, the City Planning and Zoning Commis- sion held a special meeting in the Chamber of Commerce Office at 1:00 P. M. Saturday, June 20, 1936, with all the members, except Mr. E. A. McFadden present. The purpose of this meeting was to consider the petition as herewith attached for the rezoning of Lots 1 to 8 inclusive in Block 13, Pacific Addition from '*A" residential zone to D" light industrial zone. The Commission, after careful con- sideration of the purpose for which the rezoning was petitioned, voted unanimously to favorably recommend to the Honorable Mayor and Commissioners ' s 32 of Salina the rezoning of the property as set out in the attached petition, to -wit: Lots 1, 2, 30 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 Block 13, Pacific Addition, from "Ae Residential zone to "D" Light industrial zone.
