On motion of Commissioner Mitchell same were approved by
the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation from the paving and drainage improvements Construction
Account Public Works Administration Docket State File No. Kan. 1050-R
Account for the payment of certain claims.""
On motion of Commissioner Surface the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Peters, Jackson, Mitchell,
Mor6enstern and Surface (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is numbered 4643.
Application for taxicab license received from Alvin T. Powell !.

Commissioner Jackson moved that taxicab drivers application
received from Paul Buchenau and presented to the Board of Commissioners
May 18, 1936 be granted. Motion adopted.
Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages
in the City of Saina received as follows:

Commissioner Surface moved that application be approved by
the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
LaRue Royce appeared before the Board of Commissioners and
asked for the rezoning of a tract of ground on East Pacific Street
to be used by the Fuller Auto Salvage Company. On motion the matter
was referred to the City Planning Commission.
Bids for refreshment privileges in Oakdale Park during
the Swimming Pool season of 1936 received as follows;

Commissioner Surface moved that contract be awarded to
Bob Furtick and Archie Hazen as per their bid submitted. Motion
adopted.
Mayor Peters submitted the name of W. S. Heusner as a
member of the Public Vielfare Board for a term of five years from
May 21, 1936. Commissioner Morgenstern moved that appointment be
confirmed by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Surface moved that taxicab drivers badge issued
to Clifford Watson and Orville Lloyd be revoked. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Surface moved that Taxicab License No. 1
issued to Chas. E. Coffman, d/b/a Deluxe Cab Company be revoked. Motion
adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Surface the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
