COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
MAY 11, 1936.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 11, 1936.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Peters, the roll was called and
Commissioners Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgenstern and Surface and
City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 4, 1936 were read
and approved as read.
A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution revis-
ing and approving an estimate of the Project Costs of Paving Improvements
State File No. Kan, 1050-R."
On motion of Commissioner Surface the resolution was adopted
as read and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Peters, Jackson, Mitchell, Morgenstern and Sur-
face (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered
659.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Pages 376 and 377,
Resolution Book Number 2.
Application for Pool Hall License was received from W. V. Em-
mons, d/b/a Station Smoker. Commissioner Surface moved that same be
granted by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Application for taxicab drivers license was received from
Paul E. Buchenau. On motion, action on same was deferred.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3188 as amended, by permitting the use of!
certain territory now located in "C" Commercial District for certain
purposes not now provided for or permitted by said ordinance." On
motion same was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for and requiring the construction of certain con-
crete sidewalks in certain streets in City of Salina, Kansas." On
motion same was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
Application for license to sell malt and cereal beverages
in the City of Salina received from:
WHOLESALE MALT & CEREAL BEVERAGE DEALERS LICENSE
Old King Beverage Corporation, Wichita, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Jackson application was granted by
the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
RETAIL CLASS "B" BEVERAGE DEALERS LICENSE
Milford Harmon, d/b/a The Blue Bird Bar, 209 N. Santa Fe Avenue
On motion action on above application was deferred.
A. Be C. Taxicab Service asked permission to locate a taxi -
stand at 145 North Phillips Street; also for an extra parking place ad-
jacent to their office on West Walnut Street, next to the alley. On
motion of Commissioner Surface permission was granted.
On motion of Commissioner Surface the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
