87-9213 Vacate Highland Avenue(Published in The Salina Journal October I , 1987) ORDINANCE NUMBER 87-9213 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY OF HIGHLAND AVENUE, ADJACENT TO BLOCK 34, . KEY ACRES SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SALINA, SALINE COUNTY, I KANSAS. Kansas: BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Section 1. That a portion of street right-of-way of Highland Avenue, a public street in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: The vacation of a portion of street right-of-way of Highland Avenue adjacent to Block 34, Key Acres Second Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 18, Block 34; Thence S8915711011W along the south line of Key Acres Second Addition, a distance of 44.02 feet; Thence N2413814011E a distance of 122.13 feet; Thence on a curve to the left having a radius of 190.43 feet, an arc distance of 81.91 feet, said curve having a long chord of 81.28 feet and a bearing of N12119'20"E; Thence N01001E a distance of 240.85 feet to the west line of Lot 1 ; Thence S230581E along the west line of Lots 1 and 21, a distance of 210.31 feet to a point on the west line of Lot 21 ; Thence S2413814011W along the west line of Lots 21, 20, 19, and 18 a distance of 263.00 feet back to the Point of Beginning. The above described tract of land contains 20,720 square feet, more or less. be and the same is hereby vacated. Section 2. That the above named portion of street right-of-way of Highland Avenue, which is vacated by this ordinance, shall revert to the adjacent property owners in accordance with K.S.A. 13-443 in the following manner. Tract "A": (Revert to Lot 1 , Block 34, Key Acres Second Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas) A portion of vacated Highland Avenue adjacent to Lot 1 in Block 34 of Key Acres Second Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the east right-of-way line of Highland Avenue and 70 feet south of the northwest corner of said Lot 1; Thence S23158'E along the west line of said Lot 1, a distance of 143.66 feet to the south corner of said Lot 1; Thence N90100'W a distance of 58.36 feet; Thence NO100'E a distance of 131.27 feet back to the Point of Beginning. The above described tract of land contains 3,830 square feet, more or less. Tract "B". (Revert to Lot 21, Block 34, Key Acres Second Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. A portion of vacated Highland Avenue adjacent to Lot 21, in Block 34, Key Acres Second Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of said Lot 21; Thence N65121'20"W a distance of 45.78 feet; Thence N 9011001W a distance of 35.46 feet; Thence NO100'E a distance of 60.00 feet; Thence N90100'E a distance of 58.36 feet to the west line of Lot 21; Thence S231158'E along the west line of Lot 21, a distance of 66.65 feet; Thence S2403814011W along the west line of Lot 21, a distance of 20.00 feet back to the Point of Beginning. The above described tract of land contains 4,780 square feet, more or less. Tract "C". (Revert to Lot 20, Block 34, Key Acres Second Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas: Beginning at the northwest corner of said Lot 20; Thence N65121'20"W a distance of 45.78 feet; Thence N900001W a distance of 35.46 feet; Thence SO°00'E a distance of 49.58 feet; Thence on a curve to the right having a radius of 190.43 feet, an arc distance of 11.03 feet, said curve having a long chord of 11.03 feet and a bearing of S1 °38'35"W; Thence S6512112011E a distance of 53.03 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 20; Thence N2403814011E a distance of 70.00 feet back to the Point of Beginning. The above described tract of land contains 4,520 square feet, more or less. Tract "D": (Revert to Lot 19, Block 34, Key Acres Second Addition o the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. A portion of vacated Highland Avenue adjacent to Lot 19, in Block 34, Key Acres Second Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of said Lot 19; Thence N65121'20"W a distance of 40.00 feet; Thence N2413814011E a distance of 0.74 feet; Thence on a curve to the left having a radius of 190.43 feet, an arc distance of 70.88 feet, said curve having a long chord of 70.47 feet and a bearing of N13158'55"E; Thence S65121'20"E a distance of 53.03 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 19; Thence S2413814011W a distance of 70.00 feet back to the Point of Beginning. The above described tract of land contains 3,100 square feet, more or less. Tract "E". ( Revert to Lot 18, Block 34, Key Acres Second Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.) A portion of vacated highland Avenue adjacent to Lot 18, Block 34, Key Acres Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of said Lot 18; Thence S89057'10"W along the south line of Key Acres Second Addition, a distance of 44.02 feet; Thence N2413814011E a distance of 121.39 feet; Thence S65121'20"E a distance of 40.00 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 18; Thence S24138'40"W a distance of 103.00 feet back to the Point of Beginning. The above described tract of land contains 4,490 square feet, more or less. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
