ORDINANCE NUMBER 89-9339
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 2 OF CHAPTER 27 OF THE
SALINA CODE REGARDING PARK REGULATIONS BY ADDING SECTION 27-16.1
IDENTIFYING THE HOURS DURING WHICH CERTAIN CITY PARKS SHALL BE
CLOSED; AND DECLARING A PUBLIC EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the city of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Article 2 of Chapter 27 of the Salina Code is hereby
amended by adding Section 27-16.1:
"Section 27-16.1. Closing hours of certain parks.
Oakdale, Lakewood, Jerry Ivey, Indian Rock, and
Kenwood (west of Kenwood Drive, area of locomotive only)
Parks within the City shall be closed to the general public
between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 5:00 a.m. , except
for those activities as specified in subsections 27-16(b) and
(c) , for a period commending upon publication of this
ordinance and ending November 7, 1989."
Section 2. Upon the request of the Mayor pursuant to K.S.A.
12-3001, a public emergency is hereby declared to exist warranting final passage
of this ordinance on the same day it is introduced.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
