ORDINANCE NUMBER 89-9305
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF THE
FLOODWAY OVERLAY DISTRICT BOUNDARY AS SHOWN ON PANEL NUMBER
200319 0005 OF THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY'S FLOOD
BOUNDARY AND FLOODWAY MAP FOR THE CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent for the amendment of the Floodway
Overlay District Boundary as shown on Panel Number 200319 0005 of the Federal
Emergency Management Agency's Flood Boundary and Floodway Map for the City
of Salina, Kansas, have been timely complied with, and SO NOW, THEREFORE,
Kansas:
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Section 1. AMENDMENT. The Floodway Overlay District Boundary as
shown on Panel Number 200319 0005 of the Federal Emergency Management
Agency's Flood Boundary and Floodway Map for the City of Salina, Kansas be
and it is hereby amended:
A. By DELETING 8,900 square feet of floodway area on
Lot 1, Replat of Westport Exchange Addition Block 2 for the
formation of Lot 1, in the City of Salina, Saline County,
Kansas, (aka 500 Braves Boulevard) , and
B. By ADDING 9,000 square feet of floodway area on the
North 15.3 acres of Block 4, Westport Exchange Addition to
the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, (aka 501 Graves
Boulevard) .
Section 2. That upon receipt of certification by the Office of the
Saline County Treasurer that all ad valorem property taxes are current on the
real estate described in Section 1 , the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
this ordinance in the official city newspaper.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
