ORDINANCE NUMBER 88-9293
AN ORDINANCE CALLING AN ELECTION FOR SUBMISSION OF
CHARTER ORDINANCE NUMBER 23 TO A REFERENDUM.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. There having been timely filed in the Office of the City
Clerk a petition signed by the required number of electors of the City
demanding that Charter Ordinance Number 23 be submitted to a vote to the
electors
pursuant to Article
12, Section 5, of the
Kansas Constitution, there is
hereby
called an election
for the purpose of
submitting Charter Ordinance
Number
23 to a referendum
vote of the electors
of the City to take place on
December 27, 1988.
Section 2. The election called in Section 1 shall be conducted as an
election for officers and shall be conducted by the County Clerk.
Section 3. The proposition for consideration at the referendum
election called in Section 1 shall be:
"Shall Charter Ordinance Number 23 entitled 'A Charter
Ordinance exempting the City of Salina, Kansas, from the
provisions of K.S.A. 13-1024a and providing substitute and
additional provisions of the same which relate to general
improvements and the issuance of bonds for the purpose of
paying for said improvements' take effect?"
Section 4. This ordinance shall be published once each week for three
consecutive weeks in the official city newspaper.
